  • Wild's Vladimir Tarasenko: Puts away goal in win

Tarasenko scored a goal on three shots and added two hits in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets.

Tarasenko has four goals and three assists over his last six outings. He's seeing bigger minutes right now due to a handful of injury absences, but his ice time could shrink if Marcus Johansson (lower body) is able to return Saturday versus the Oilers. Tarasenko has 17 points, 54 shots on net, 23 hits and a minus-1 rating over 28 appearances this season.

  • Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Between pipes Friday

Wedgewood will defend the home goal versus Winnipeg on Friday, according to Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette.

Wedgewood has been spectacular this season, posting a 14-1-4 record with a 2.11 GAA and a .920 save percentage over 21 starts this season. He will face the struggling Jets, who have won just two of their last nine contests.

  • Ryan Hartman RW | MIN

Wild's Ryan Hartman: Strikes on power play

Hartman scored a power-play goal on three shots in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets.

Hartman has three goals, all on the power play, and a pair of even-strength assists over his last four games. The 31-year-old continues to play a key middle-six role for the Wild, especially as the team navigates a tough patch of injuries. He's up to a total of seven goals, 13 points, 62 shots on net, 31 hits, 33 blocked shots, 17 PIM and a minus-3 rating over 31 appearances this season.

  • Wild's Marcus Johansson: Questionable for Saturday's game

Johansson (lower body) is considered questionable for Saturday's game against the Oilers, Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette reports.

Johansson has missed the last two games due to his lower-body injury, but he could return to action before the holiday break. He was riding a four-game point streak prior to his absence, recording three goals, three assists, three hits, a blocked shot and a plus-7 rating while averaging 15:17 of ice time.

  • Wild's Zach Bogosian: Out for Saturday

Bogosian (lower body) will miss his third straight game Saturday against Edmonton, Jessi Pierce of NHL.com reports Friday.

Bogosian has one goal and one assist in 17 games this season. The defenseman is considered day-to-day and could return as early as Sunday against Colorado.

  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Set to start Saturday

Gustavsson is slated to start Saturday's home game against the Oilers, Jessi Pierce of NHL.com reports.

Gustavsson is riding a four-game winning streak in which he's posted a 1.25 GAA and .949 save percentage. He'll face a tough test against the Oilers, who rank third in the NHL with 3.40 goals per game.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Facing Devils

Vejmelka was the first goaltender off the ice at morning skate, Brogan Houston of Deseret News Sports reports, and is slated to patrol the home crease versus New Jersey on Friday.

Vejmelka is 15-9-2 with a 2.72 GAA and an .894 save percentage over 27 games this season. He has won three games in a row, allowing eight goals on 81 shots in wins over Seattle, Pittsburgh and Detroit. The Devils are 24th in NHL scoring, generating 2.82 goals per game.

  • Hurricanes' Jordan Martinook: Not playing Friday

Martinook (lower body) is considered day-to-day and has been ruled out of Friday's tilt in Florida, per Ryan Henkel of The Hockey News.

Martinook was injured Wednesday against Nashville, playing only 5:44 before leaving the contest. Martinook has only two goals and four points in his last 22 appearances after starting the season with two goals and five helpers in his first 11 games. Look for Jesperi Kotkaniemi to enter the lineup in place of Martinook.

  • John Gibson G | DET

Red Wings' John Gibson: Starting Saturday

Gibson will defend the road goal in Washington on Saturday, Max Bultman of The Athletic reports.

Gibson has been sensational the last six games, winning all of them while giving up 12 goals on 185 shots (.935 save percentage). Red Wings' Patrick Kane: Ruled out for Saturday's game

Kane (upper body) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against Washington, Max Bultman of The Athletic reports.

Kane suffered an upper-body injury in last weekend's win over Chicago, and he'll be unavailable for a third consecutive game Saturday. It's not yet clear when the 37-year-old will be able to return to action, but his final two chances to suit up before the holiday break will be Sunday in a rematch against Washington and Tuesday against Dallas.
