Eric Young to test hamstring running outdoors Tuesday

Mets outfielder Eric Young will test his hamstring Tuesday by running outdoors for the first time since being placed on the disabled list with a hamstring strain, ESPNNewYork.com reports.

Poor conditions Monday limited Young to staying indoors and running on a submerged treadmill. He is first eligible to return from the disabled list next Tuesday.
