Angels pitcher Garrett Richards was hit with a loss Monday after giving up five earned runs on 10 hits and two walks in seven innings and striking out just one in his team's 5-2 loss to the Astros.

Richards (4-1) ran into his second speed bump of the season, including a five-run, seven-inning no-decision against the A's in mid-April. He was touched up for three runs in the first inning Monday before giving up another in the second and one more in the third. Richards owns a 2.90 ERA and 55:22 K:BB ratio in 59 innings. He'll square off with the Royals Sunday.
