Nationals outfielder Jayson Werth is punishing left-handed pitching again, according to The Washington Post.
In his first season with the Nationals, Werth had a tough time against lefties, hitting just .184 against them. It led to a down season, as Werth hit just .232 in 561 at-bats. Since that year, Werth has hit .383 against lefties, which ranks second just behind Andrew McCutchen. Werth admitted that he worked on the problem back in 2010, but decided not to give any details on how he was able to turn himself around against left-handers.
While he's only 35 at-bats against lefties this year, Werth is hitting an insane .457 against them.
