The Mariners and Tigers have held trade discussions involving outfielder Brennan Boesch, according to FoxSports.com's Jon Paul Morosi. This confirms an earlier report by CBSSports.com baseball insider Danny Knobler regarding the Mariners' interest in Boesch.

Morosi writes that the Tigers could target a left-handed relief pitcher, such as Oliver Perez, Charlie Furbush or Lucas Luetge, in a deal.

The 27-year-old lefty hitter had a .240/.286/.372 line -- all career lows -- with 12 home runs in 503 plate appearances for the Tigers in 2012.
