A year ago, Martin Prado was the seventh-ranked third baseman in Fantasy points in standard formats, as he showed his typical prowess at making contact and hitting doubles. After a slow start to his first season with the Diamondbacks, Prado is back at it again, and he needs to be starting in nearly all leagues.

Prado has exhibited a sharp batting eye all year, but for most of the first half, he was having trouble getting hits on balls in play. Through June 22, Prado's BABIP was just .250, which was well below his typical rates above .320. Since then, he's been hitting .328 on balls in play, and with few strikeouts -- only seven in 129 at-bats -- Prado's boasting a .333 batting average with nine doubles and four home runs over a 34-game span.

As he has improved, more owners have seen fit to activate Prado, but he is still benched in 14 percent of the leagues on CBSSports.com. Especially since he is second base-eligible this season, there is little reason to bench him in virtually any format.
