Mets third baseman David Wright, who is on the disabled list with a hamstring injury, is now suffering from lower-back pain, the team announced. Wright had an MRI which revealed no structural damage. Manager Terry Collins has said Wright is expected to resume baseball activities on Monday.
Wright has been out since April 15 with the hamstring injury, though the team did say he was progressing well in his rehab prior to this latest setback, and was about to play in a rehab game before this recent setback.
