Nick Markakis collects four hits in losing effort

Orioles outfielder Nick Markakis continued to swing a hot bat, producing four hits in his team's 8-3 defeat to the Cardinals at home on Sunday.

Markakis singled in the first, third, fifth and sixth innings, respectively. He finished 4 for 5 with two runs scored and an RBI. He owns a .292/.358/.405 slash line with 10 homers and 40 RBI in 486 at-bats.
