Orioles outfielder Nick Markakis drew the rare start at first base Saturday, going 2 for 5 with two RBI, including driving in the game-winning run with a walkoff single in the 10th inning of his team's 3-2 win over the Royals.

Markakis hadn't seen time at first base since playing there 18 innings over three games during the 2011 season. He began the scoring with a first-inning single and ended the night with the same. Markakis has hit .299/.355/.361 in 97 at-bats.
