Brewers pitcher Wily Peralta earned a win Saturday after giving up four runs (three earned) on eight hits and one walk in 7 2/3 innings and striking out two in his team's 9-4 victory over the Rockies.
Peralta (8-5) gave up a two-run single in the first inning before his offense delivered nine unanswered runs through the fifth inning. The starter then surrendered a two-run home run in the sixth inning, which represented the final runs of the game.
Peralta has recorded three straight quality starts and four straight wins during an impressive June. He owns a 3.02 ERA and 69:23 K:BB ratio in 95 1/3 innings. Peralta is slated to face the Rockies again Thursday, this time at home.
