Tigers' Juan C. Perez: Lands NRI deal with Tigers
Perez signed a minor league contract with the Tigers that includes an invitation to spring training, Emily Waldon of 2080 Baseball reports.
Perez batted .276 to go with 27 doubles and 16 stolen bases with the Cubs' Triple-A affiliate, although he also has 246 major league at-bats to his name. His success during his time in the big leagues was quite limited, though, so the 30-year-old will likely act as organizational depth going forward.

Cubs' Juan C. Perez: Receives spring training invite
Perez has earned an invitation to the Cubs' spring training.
After a 2015 season in which Perez had some success in 22 games with the Giants (batting .282/.300/.359), the 28-year-old outfielder will join another big league club at spring training. However, it would likely take a strong showing in March and injuries to several players ahead of him for Perez to earn a spot out of camp.

Giants' Juan C. Perez: Outrighted off 40-man roster
Perez was outrighted off the Giants' 40-man roster Friday, Andrew Baggarly of the San Jose Mercury News repots.
Perez hit .282 in 22 games with the Giants last season, but the team decided to remove him from the 40-man roster to open a spot for another player. It remains to be seen if Perez will remain with the Giants or look for work with another team.
