Mariners' Danny Muno: Signs, assigned to Triple-A Tacoma
Muno was signed by the Mariners on Thursday and assigned to Triple-A Tacoma, Rainiers broadcaster Mike Curto reports.
Muno was previously signed to a minor-league contract by the Tigers on Feb. 20 but has yet to see any game action in 2017. The 28-year-old has a career .270/.385/.398 minor-league line that includes 104 doubles, 11 triples, 35 home runs and 240 RBI over a total of 555 games. His only previous big-league exposure came with the Mets in 2015, when he hit just .148 with a double over 32 plate appearances. He projects as minor-league depth for the time being.

Tigers' Danny Muno: Heads to Detroit on minors deal
Muno signed a minor league contract with the Tigers on Monday.
The 28-year-old infielder spent much of his career in the Mets' system, but he ventured across three organizations in 2016 and could only muster a .223 batting average with three different minor league teams. He walks at incredibly high rates, but due to his meager past production, Muno offers little more than organizational depth moving forward.
