Torres, a former fourth-round pick in 2014, was cut loose by the Padres at the end of spring training. The 24-year-old is hitting a solid .400/.489/.600 with eight doubles and a stolen base across 11 games with the T-Bones.

Torres is hitting .311/.342/.483 after playing 53 games at Double-A San Antonio.
In just his first season at the Double-A level, Torres is leading the team in slugging percentage and doubles while ranking among the team's top three in batting average, home runs, and RBI. He's already matched his previous career best of five home runs and is on pace to have another season with at-least 40 doubles. However, his BB/K ratio of 0.1 leaves much to be desired as the season continues.
