Giants' Heath Quinn: Drives in six for High-A club
Quinn finished 2-for-4 with a home run and six RBI for High-A San Jose in its 13-3 win over Visalia on Wednesday.
Quinn connected on a grand slam in the eighth inning, giving him 13 home runs over 85 games in the California League. With a 142 wRC+ across his 362 plate appearances, Quinn has been a well-above-league-average hitter throughout the season, but he's been swinging a particularly hot bat of late. In his last 11 contests, Quinn has gone 17-for-42 (.405 average) with three home runs, five doubles and 18 RBI.

Giants' Heath Quinn: Swinging hot bat since reinstatement
Quinn (lower body) has gone 6-for-12 in three games since his return from the 7-day disabled list.
All six hits have been singles, but regardless, it's nice to see Quinn picking up where he left off after a month-long absence due to a lower-body injury. For the season, Quinn is slashing .333/.382/.492 with three homers, two steals and an 8:27 BB:K in 120 at-bats with High-A San Jose. A third-round selection in the 2016 first-year player draft, Quinn figures to get his first taste of Double-A ball before the end of the year.

Giants' Heath Quinn: Helped off field with undisclosed injury
Quinn suffered an injury running the bases and was helped off the field during Tuesday's game for High-A San Jose, play-by-play announcer Joe Ritzo reports.
It's a rough break for the 22-year-old slugger, who was hitting .317/.374/.490 with three home runs and two stolen bases in 115 plate appearances this year in the California League. After striking out at a 29 percent clip at High-A last year, he had that mark at 20.9 percent and was likely nearing a promotion to Double-A. While the nature of the injury is unclear, he should be considered out indefinitely.

Giants' Heath Quinn: Failing with runners in scoring position
Quinn has eight home runs in 114 at-bats for High-A San Jose this year.
Quinn, who got his first taste of High-A ball last season, is batting .288/.351/.577 this time around in San Jose. It's been feast or famine for the outfield prospect, who has 14 extra-base hits out of the 30 hits total he has on the season. He's struggling in high-leverage situations, hitting only .133 with runners in scoring position, a large reason that 10 of his 12 RBI have come from home runs.

Giants' Heath Quinn: Out with wrist injury
Quinn was held back in extended spring training as he works his way back from a hamate injury, MLB.com's Mike Rosenbaum reports.
This is particularly relevant, as hamate injuries have been known to sap power, and power is really all that Quinn brings to the table as a prospect. He should join High-A San Jose once healthy.
