Mariners' Alberto Rodriguez: Contending with visa issues
Rodriguez has yet to report to Mariners camp as of Monday due to visa issues, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.
After the Mariners added him to the 40-man roster in November, Rodriguez is scheduled to attend big-league camp for the first time in his career. He'll miss out on some valuable reps alongside MLB players and some of the Mariners' upper-level prospects, but assuming he resolves the visa issues in the next week or two, Rodriguez should be ready to go for the start of the minor-league season. He's expected to begin the campaign with High-A Everett.
