Mariners' Leonardo Rivas: Signs NRI deal with Seattle
Rivas signed a minor-league contract with the Mariners on Tuesday that includes an invitation to spring training.
Rivas spent the 2022 season in the Reds organization, recording a .662 OPS across 95 games between Double-A Chattanooga and Triple-A Louisville. He'll almost certainly open the upcoming campaign in the minors, with Triple-A Tacoma his likely starting point.

Reds' Leonardo Rivas: PTBNL in Iglesias trade
Rivas was traded from the Angels to the Reds on Thursday as the player to be named later in exchange for right-hander Raisel Iglesias.
Rivas will serve as the PTBNL later to complete the deal that the two teams made Monday. The 23-year-old advanced to the High-A level in 2019, slashing .236/.328/.377 with six home runs and 26 RBI over 73 games, and he'll continue his development with the Reds going forward.
