Braves' Jesse Franklin: Out with shoulder tendinitis
Double-A Mississippi placed Franklin on its 60-day injured list March 29 while he recovers from left shoulder tendinitis, Jonathan Mayo of MLB.com reports.
A fringe prospect at this stage of his career, Franklin is already 25 years old and has yet to master Double-A pitching. He slashed .232/.315/.419 with 15 home runs, 21 steals and a 29.7 percent strikeout rate in 94 games at that level last season.

Braves' Jesse Franklin: Active at Double-A
Franklin (elbow) has been activated from the injured list at Double-A Mississippi and went 1-for-4 with a home run and two strikeouts in his first game back.
The 24-year-old outfielder returned May 6 after not playing for 377 days due to Tommy John surgery. As of May 9, Franklin has not played in a game since that long-awaited return.

Braves' Jesse Franklin: Out for season after surgery
Franklin will miss the rest of the season after undergoing Tommy John surgery, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
Franklin, a third-round pick in the 2020 draft, had appeared in 15 games for Double-A Mississippi prior to injuring his elbow in late April, hitting an unimpressive .236/.333/.400 while striking out 27.3 percent of the time. He'd also struggled with strikeouts at the High-A level the year prior, whiffing 28.3 percent of the time. Missing most of this season won't help his development, but he's expected to be ready for next year's spring training and will continue his push towards the big leagues.
