  Varsho went 2-for-4 with two walks, a run scored and an RBI in Saturday's extra-innings win over the A's. The center fielder went 0-for-4 in the Blue Jays' opener, but Varsho had much more success Saturday even with lefty Jeffrey Springs on the bump for the A's. Varsho launched 20 homers in only 71 regular-season games in 2025, and if he can stay healthy this season he could be headed for career-best power numbers.

  Varsho went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Saturday's Grapefruit League game against the Tigers. After launching two homers Friday against the Twins, Varsho went deep again Saturday to lead off the bottom of the fifth inning, this time against two-time AL Cy Young Award winner Tarik Skubal on a 95.5 mph sinker that he crushed to right-center field. Varsho now has four home runs in 35 spring plate appearances as part of a .455/.486/1.000 slash line, and the 29-year-old center fielder might only need to stay healthy to put together breakout campaign in 2026.

The center fielder took Mick Abel deep for a two-run shot in the first inning before clobbering a three-run homer off Zak Kent in the fifth. Varsho is batting .452 (14-for-31) this spring with eight extra-base hits, including three long balls, and an impressive 1:1 BB:K, an early sign that last year's career-high .548 SLG may not have been a smaller-sample fluke.

The center fielder took Seth Johnson deep in the fifth inning of Toronto's spring training opener. Varsho posted a career-high .832 OPS in 2025 while launching 20 home runs in only 71 games, and if he can stay healthy he seems poised to deliver his first career 30-homer campaign.

  Varsho signed a one-year, $10.75 million contract with the Blue Jays on Thursday to avoid arbitration, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports. Varsho will take a cool $2.55 million raise for 2026 after slashing .238/.284/.548 with 20 homers, 55 RBI and 43 runs scored in the regular season over 271 plate appearances. The 29-year-old outfielder is due to enter free agency next winter.

  Varsho went 4-for-5 with two home runs, two doubles, four RBI and four runs scored in Sunday's 13-7 win over the Yankees in Game 2 of the ALDS. Varsho was unstoppable in Game 2, knocking doubles in the second and third frames before launching a two-run homer in the bottom of the fourth. He later added a solo home run in the sixth inning, which was his final hit of the day. Varsho has come out of the gates red-hot in the postseason, going 6-for-8 with two home runs, four RBI and six runs scored over the first two games of the ALDS.

The center fielder took Reds closer Emilio Pagan deep in the ninth inning, capping a three-run rally that gave the Blue Jays a 4-2 lead, but the Toronto bullpen immediately handed it right back to Cincy in the bottom of the frame. Varsho was out of the lineup for a couple games due to a bruised hand, but Monday's long ball was a strong sign that he's fully healthy. Over the course of an injury-plagued season, Varsho has 16 homers and a career-best .866 OPS in just 49 games.

Varsho had to make an early exit from Friday's contest after being hit by a pitch on his right hand. X-rays returned negative, and manager John Schneider shared Saturday morning that Varsho is doing well but is dealing with some pain and swelling.
