Giants' Victor Bericoto: Playing at Double-A after activation
Bericoto (undisclosed) has gone 1-for-9 with four strikeouts in two games since he was assigned to Double-A Richmond after being reinstated from Triple-A Sacramento's 7-day injured list.
Bericoto missed about a month of action for Sacramento due to the injury before he was sent to Richmond after playing in six rehab games in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League. The 23-year-old had slashed just .196/.196/.283 at Sacramento prior to missing time with the injury, so Bericoto could need an extended run of quality performances with Richmond before he rejoins the Triple-A club.

Giants' Victor Bericoto: On mend from injury
Triple-A Sacramento placed Bericoto on its 7-day injured list May 9 due to an unspecified injury.
Though he's been out of action at Triple-A for more than three weeks, Bericoto should return to action with Sacramento before long. He began a rehab assignment in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on May 22 and has gone 11-for-23 with seven extra-base hits and a stolen base through his first six games.

Giants' Victor Bericoto: Climbs to Double-A
Bericoto has gone 3-for-20 with two home runs and 3:8 BB:K in 23 plate appearances over six games since being promoted from High-A Eugene to Double-A Richmond on July 4.
Bericoto received the call-up to Richmond two weeks ago after he slashed .295/.353/.531 with 30 extra-base hits and a 19.4 percent strikeout rate in 309 plate appearances for Eugene. The outfielder/first baseman largely struggled at the dish over his first three seasons of affiliated ball, but he's shown a more disciplined approach and has tapped into more power even while facing tougher competition in his age-21 campaign.

Giants' Victor Bericoto: Post-hype breakout at High-A
Bericoto has a .305/.360/.540 slash line with 13 home runs and a 17.6 percent strikeout rate in 60 games for High-A Eugene.
Bericoto made some noise with a strong showing as a 17-year-old in the Dominican Summer League in 2019, but injuries limited him in 2021 and he was roughly league average (97 wRC+) as a 20-year-old at Single-A last season, so this qualifies as a post-hype breakout. He has gone back and forth between first base and the outfield dating back to his first year in pro ball, and that remains the case, with starts sprinkled between right field, first base and left field.
