Seise (knee) has appeared in two games this season for High-A Hickory, going 2-for-7 with a solo home run, two additional runs and two walks.
Seise has made both of his starts at designated hitter, which suggests his surgically-repaired right knee might not quite be at 100 percent after he underwent surgery last May to repair a torn ACL. Even so, the fact that Seise avoided the injured list to begin the season suggests that the Rangers are confident enough in the health of his knee to run the bases. He should resume his usual duties in the infield within a few weeks.

Seise will miss the rest of the season after tearing the ACL in his right knee Wednesday while making a defensive play at High-A Hickory, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
This is pretty tragic news for the 22-year-old shortstop, who has been limited to just 82 minor-league games since being drafted in 2017. Shoulder injuries had plagued him previously. He was hitting .225/.295/.425 with two home runs and a 34.1 percent strikeout rate. Given all the missed time and the fact he will be 23 next season without much success to point to above rookie ball, this is a major blow to his long-term prospects.

This is a tough break for the young shortstop, who missed all of the 2018 campaign after undergoing surgery on his right shoulder last May. Prior to suffering the injury, Seise appeared in 20 games for Low-A Hickory, slashing .241/.272/.356 with seven extra-base hits (four doubles and three triples) and six stolen bases in 92 plate appearances. At this point, it's unclear if the 20-year-old Seise will be ready for the start of spring training next year.

Seise opened up the season Thursday going 3-for-5 with three runs scored, two doubles and a triple in a 9-4 win over Low-A Lakewood.
Seise missed all of last season with shoulder surgery but looks to be making up for lost time. The shortstop is known for his defensive abilities, so if he is able to show flashes offensively he might move up the ranks.

Seise (shoulder) said he expects to be healthy by the start of spring training, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. "I should be ready for spring training," Seise said. "I should be ready before that, actually."
The 2017 first-round pick appears to be on track in his recovery from shoulder surgery that he underwent back in May. Seise has been taking grounders and recently received clearance to resume hitting and lifting weights. He's also throwing out to 90 feet. The 19-year-old hit .284/.330/.400 across 51 games in his first taste of pro ball in 2017.

Seise, whom the Rangers picked 29th overall in the 2017 first-year player draft, had surgery to clean out his rotator cuff area. The 19-year-old hadn't appeared in a game this season, but he hit a solid .284/.330/.400 across 51 games across two levels in his first taste of pro ball in 2017. At this point, it's unclear if Seise will be ready to go by the start of spring training next season.
