  • Brewers' Eric Bitonti: Bumped up to Single-A

Bitonti was promoted from the Arizona Complex League to Single-A Carolina on Tuesday.

Bitonti could eventually develop into a Coby Mayo or Austin Riley type of slugging third baseman, but he won't turn 19 until November, so there's a long road ahead. The 6-foot-4 lefty hitter slashed .320/.451/.480 with eight home runs and a 27 percent strikeout rate in the ACL, and he struck out twice while going hitless in his first game for the Mudcats.
