Gil and several other prospects have been traded from the Cardinals to the Rockies in exchange for Nolan Arenado, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.
Gil has yet to play above High-A, appearing in just two contests for High-A Palm Beach during the 2019 campaign. He's a solid defender who has the potential to develop a power stroke as he matures.
