Palisch made one appearance for the White Sox earlier this month before being optioned to Birmingham, allowing two earned runs over an inning of work in his major-league debut. He's now off the White Sox's 40-man roster but will remain in the organization.

White Sox's Jake Palisch: Returns to Double-A

The White Sox optioned Palisch to Double-A Birmingham on Sunday.
The 26-year-old was promoted Friday by Chicago and made his MLB debut a day later, giving up two earned runs over one inning. Palisch will now head back to Birmingham, where he has a 1.17 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 36:15 K:BB across 16 appearances (seven starts) this season.

The White Sox selected Palisch's contract from Double-A Birmingham on Friday.
Palisch has yet to make his MLB debut. In 15 outings (seven starts) at Double-A, he owns a 1.19 ERA and 35:14 K:BB across 53 innings. Palisch started the season as a reliever but is now fully stretched out. With scheduled starter Davis Martin (forearm) landing on the injured list, Palisch could factor into Chicago's pitching plans Friday.
