Diamondbacks' Dominic Fletcher: Optioned to Triple-A
Fletcher was optioned to Triple-A Reno on Tuesday.
Fletcher spent most of last season in Triple-A as well, slashing .301/.368/.447 across 449 plate appearances. If he is able to produce similar numbers to begin the 2023 season, there is a good chance he makes his major-league debut at some point, though he would have to compete with Corbin Carroll, Alek Thomas and Jake McCarthy for time in the D-backs' outfield.

Diamondbacks' Dominic Fletcher: Moves to 40-man roster
Fletcher was added to the Diamondbacks' 40-man roster Tuesday.
Fletcher is one of Arizona's top prospects and had a .301/.368/.447 slash line at Triple-A Reno last season, so it's not a surprise to see him added to the 40-man roster ahead of the Rule 5 draft. The 24-year-old could be promoted for his major-league debut at some point next year.

Diamondbacks' Dominic Fletcher: Scorching all season long
Fletcher is hitting .331/.407/.548 with four homers and a 17:28 BB:K through 31 games for Triple-A Reno.
He put together a .346/.408/.591 line over 32 games in Double-A before getting promoted, and Fletcher hasn't missed a beat at the higher level. The younger brother of the Angels' David Fletcher, Dominic is similarly undersized at 5-foot-9 but has a little more pop in his bat; he's already hit more homers this year (11) than David ever has in a single campaign. The 24-year-old outfielder has made significant progress with his plate discipline, cutting his strikeout rate from 24.8 percent in 2021 to 18.5 percent this year -- a major factor in his improved results.

Diamondbacks' Dominic Fletcher: Added to taxi squad
Fletcher will be on Arizona's taxi squad, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.
The 22-year-old outfielder and younger brother of Angels infielder David Fletcher hit .318/.389/.463 in 55 games at Low-A last year. While he could move fairly quickly through the minors, he probably won't get notable MLB playing time in 2020.
