Reds' Nick Quintana: Bound for Cincy
The Reds acquired Quintana from the Tigers on Wednesday in exchange for catcher Tucker Barnhart, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.
Quintana, the 47th overall pick of the 2019 first-year player draft, finished the 2021 campaign at Low-A Lakeland, batting .199 with nine home runs and four stolen bases across 347 plate appearances. A glove-first third baseman, Quintana may struggle to hit for enough power to profile as an everyday corner infielder in the majors.
