It looked like this was going to be another horrible Los Angeles Lakers preseason performance. In the first half against the Utah Jazz on Sunday, they looked as listless and lost as usual, trailing by as many as 22 points.

Things changed in the third quarter, though. I'm not sure whether it's because of something that was said at halftime or the fact that the Jazz are playing their third game in four nights, but Los Angeles finally showed some spark. That was never more evident than when Wesley Johnson crammed down a fierce dunk on the fast break. Utah's Carrick Felix chased him from behind and made a valiant attempt to block it, but wound up getting YouTubed. The Jazz are in danger of losing in Los Angeles.

Nice pass from Ronnie Price, by the way.
