Sergio Rodriguez: Agrees to long-term deal overseas
Rodriguez agreed to a deal with CSKA Moscow until 2020, freelance reporter David Pick reports.
The former Euroleague MVP will return overseas to continue his professional basketball career. He held a significant role with the 76ers last season, posting 7.8 points and 5.1 assists across 22.3 minutes per game. While the 31-year-old may have been able to garner a small roster spot on an NBA team, it appears that he will be going back overseas to be a legitimate contributor while in the late years of his prime. It seems doubtful at this point, however, that he will return to the NBA.

76ers' Sergio Rodriguez: Will not return this season
Rodriguez (hamstring) will not play in any of the team's remaining three games, Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
The 76ers have opted to shut down the veteran guard due to a nagging hamstring injury. The issue has caused him to miss the previous six games. Rodriguez was a surprise this season, as he returned off a six year absence from the league. He will finish the season with averages averages of 7.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, 5.1 dimes, 0.7 steals, and 1.4 triples across 22.3 minutes per game.

76ers' Sergio Rodriguez: Scheduled to practice Friday
Rodriguez (hamstring) is expected to go through one-on-one drills during the 76ers' practice Friday, Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. "It's feeling better," Rodriguez said of the strained left hamstring that has cost him the last six games. "But the injury is kind of tricky because you never know when you are 100 percent."
Rodriguez's activity should present with the 76ers to formally evaluate him in advance of Saturday's game against the Bucks, but he'll likely need to show he's close to 100 percent healthy to have a shot at playing in the contest. Even if he's cleared to return, Rodriguez's status as the clear backup to starting point guard T.J. McConnell would likely result in him playing no more than 20 minutes Saturday, thereby limiting his DFS upside.

Rodriguez (hamstring) has been ruled out for both Tuesday's game against the Nets and Thursday's game against the Bulls, Jessica Camerato of CSN Philadelphia reports.
Rodriguez was already expected to miss Tuesday's game, but the Sixers are now tacking on at least one more outing before reevaluating him over the weekend. With the season winding down and the Sixers ruled out of playoff contention, there's a growing belief that he could be shut down for the season, although nothing official has been reported indicating such. Look for T.J. McConnell to see a few extra minutes over the next two contests, while Nik Stauskas operates as the backup at both point guard and shooting guard.

Rodriguez (hamstring) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Nets.
After missing the last week of action with the left hamstring strain, Rodriguez is apparently still hurting after the 76ers reevaluated him Monday, so he'll be sidelined for a fifth consecutive game. With only four games remaining on the 76ers' schedule after Tuesday, Rodriguez could be at risk of being sidelined for all of those contests if he fails to show improvement in the coming days. Rodriguez's absence will enable starting point guard T.J. McConnell to pick up a few extra minutes, while Nik Stauskas settles in as the top reserve option at both guard spots.

Rodriguez strained his left hamstring during Sunday's game against the Pacers and was considered questionable heading into Tuesday, but the 76ers decided to shelve him temporarily in order to give him ample time to recover. Rodriguez is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Nets due to a sore left hamstring.
The issue isn't believed to be anything serious, though the 30-year-old underwent a precautionary MRI to ensure he's not dealing with anything more severe. Rodriguez fell out of the rotation completely on Saturday against the Hawks, not even seeing a minute of action. However, he'll return to the rotation Tuesday and is expected to back up T.J. McConnell at point guard, which could push him to playing time closer to the 20-minute mark. That said, Rodriguez's value remains cloudy and it may be a situation to avoid for the time being.

Rodriguez returned to the bench and scored four points (2-5 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 0-1 FT) while adding seven rebounds and four assists in 19 minutes during Wednesday's 94-89 win over the Raptors.
Rodriguez is not a particularly good rebounder, and so his high total in that category should be considered unusual. Even in limited minutes, he can be a good source of assists, but when he's playing less than 20 minutes a game, he is only really an option in very deep leagues. TJ McConnell (wrist) has the starting job right now, and as long as that is the case, Rodriguez is not worth rostering in most settings.

Following a three-game absence due to a sprained left ankle, Rodriguez lost out on the starting point guard gig to T.J. McConnell. While Rodriguez has come off the bench in four straight contests, he's seen his minutes increase in each successive game, and he'll likely have an opportunity to reenter the starting five and take on an even larger workload with McConnell (wrist) being ruled out Monday. The severity of McConnell's injury isn't known, but Rodriguez may be worth a speculative pickup on a short-term basis. If Rodriguez fares well in Monday's contest, he could end up permanently displacing McConnell as the starter at the position. Chasson Randle is expected to serve as Rodriguez's primary backup Monday.
