Clippers' Brook Lopez: Miserable showing Thursday
Lopez accumulated three points (1-12 FG, 1-12 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 20 minutes during Thursday's 118-101 victory over the Jazz.
It was a dreadful shooting display by Lopez, who saw fewer minutes than Yanic Konan Niederhauser on Thursday. Lopez should remain the top center while Ivica Zubac (ankle) is on the shelf, but it appears head coach Tyronn Lue is comfortable riding a hot-hand approach when applicable. Lopez has averaged 10.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.4 blocks in 27.8 minutes per game in his last five outings (all starts).

Clippers' Brook Lopez: Logs career high in win
Lopez recorded 31 points (9-16 FG, 9-14 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, two blocks and one assist across 33 minutes during Friday's 119-103 victory over Portland.
With Ivica Zubac (ankle) sidelined, Lopez got the starting nod for a second consecutive contest and made the most of the opportunity. The veteran center torched the nets from beyond the arc, sinking a career-high nine triples en route to a season-best mark in points. Lopez fell out of the rotation in late November and early December, though he carries solid short-term value as a member of the starting five and will aim to prove he can remain a steady producer when Zubac, who is expected to miss at least two more weeks, returns.

Clippers' Brook Lopez: Starting Tuesday sans Zubac
Lopez is in the Clippers' starting lineup against the Rockets on Tuesday, NBA writer Justin Russo reports.
Lopez will enter the Clippers' starting lineup for the first time this season Tuesday in the absence of Ivica Zubac, who will be sidelined for at least three weeks due to a Grade 2 left ankle sprain. Lopez started in all 80 regular-season games for the Bucks during the 2024-25 campaign and averaged 13.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.9 blocks over 31.8 minutes per game. Lopez has struggled from the field this season (his 40.5 percent field-goal clip is a career worst), but perhaps more consistent playing time will help with his shooting woes.

After going unused in six consecutive games in coach's decisions, Lopez has moved back into the rotation for the Clippers' last two contests, supplanting Kobe Brown as the backup center. Though he's now back in the mix for the Clippers, Lopez remains an afterthought in fantasy formats, as he's simply not getting sufficient playing time behind starter Ivica Zubac. Across 19 appearances this season, Lopez is averaging 5.8 points and 1.7 rebounds in 14.1 minutes per contest and is shooting a career-worst 39 percent from the field.

Lopez has failed to see any minutes in three straight contests and looks to have at least temporarily lost his spot in the rotation while head coach Tyronn Lue has been leaning more heavily on starting center Ivica Zubac and deploying Kobe Brown and/or John Collins at the five when Zubac is resting on the bench. The move outside of the rotation comes after Lopez shot just 40.4 percent from the field and averaged 6.3 points, 1.9 rebounds, 1.4 three-pointers and 0.8 blocks in 14.4 minutes over LA's first 17 games of the season.
