  • Reggie Williams: No longer with Pelicans

Williams was dropped from the Pelicans' 15-man roster Tuesday and has joined the D-League's Oklahoma City Blue, Erik Horne of The Oklahoman reports.

With the Pelicans electing to sign Wayne Selden to a 10-day contract, it was only a matter of time before Williams was let go, as his contract was only partially guaranteed for the rest of the season. He saw action in six games over two separate stints with the Pelicans, averaging 4.5 points across 13.2 minutes per contest. WIlliams will bide his time in the D-League while he awaits his next NBA opportunity.

  • Pelicans' Reggie Williams: Expected to lose roster spot

The Pelicans are expected to waive Williams prior to Wednesday's game against the Raptors in order to sign Wayne Selden to a 10-day contract, Justin Verrier of ESPN.com reports.

Williams signed a contract with the Pelicans for the remainder of the season back on Feb. 24, but given the limited guaranteed money in the deal, New Orleans won't lose much should they choose to waive him. The veteran wing has made just one appearance with the Pelicans in his second stint with the club this season and is an expendable piece with all of Hollis Thompson, Solomon Hill, E'Twaun Moore, Dante Cunningham and the newly-signed Jordan Crawford ahead of him on the depth chart.

  • Pelicans' Reggie Williams: Will sign with Pelicans for remainder of season

Williams will sign with the Pelicans for the remainder of the season, Shams Charania of The Vertical reports.

Williams made five appearances for the Pelicans earlier in the season before being waived on Jan.1. However, they'll need his presence now after Omri Casspi broke his thumb during his Pelicans debut. Williams is a three-point threat, knocking down five of his 10 attempts from that distance during his five-game stint with the team earlier in the season.

  • Reggie Williams: No longer with Pelicans

Williams was waived by the Pelicans on Sunday.

The 30-year-old only made five total appearances for the Pelicans this season, but perhaps more importantly, his salary would have been guaranteed starting Jan. 7 had he not been released. New Orleans will likely try out a few players on 10-day contracts before filling their open roster spot with a permanent fixture for the rest of the season.

  • Pelicans' Reggie Williams: Supplies 17 points in 20 minutes Sunday

Williams recorded 17 points (5-8 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds and one assist across 20 minutes in Sunday's 120-119 win over the Suns.

Williams, a 30-year-old journeyman who was just signed by the Pelicans on Saturday, has already suited up in two games with his new team. While it wasn't surprising that Williams played in Saturday's blowout loss to the Clippers when coach Alvin Gentry sat out E'Twaun Moore (toe), Jrue Holiday (toe) and Anthony Davis (rest), it was more stunning to see Williams play such extensive minutes Sunday when all three players were available, in a competitive game no less. Perhaps Williams' shooting skills from distance -- he owns a career 36.7 percent mark from three-point range -- will continue to earn him run off the Pelicans' bench, but don't bank on him turning in many repeat performances.

  • Thunder's Reggie Williams: Signs with Thunder

Williams was signed by the Thunder on Monday, Erik Horne of The Oklahoman reports.

Williams is not expected to make the final regular season roster, but it will give the Thunder an opportunity to evaluate him throughout practice over the next week or so. With that said, Williams will likely open the season with the Thunder's D-League affiliate, the Oklahoma City Blue, with the hopes of joining the Thunder's roster later in the season.

  • Reggie Williams: Signs with Russian club

Williams signed a contract with Avtodor Saratov of Russia on Sunday, Sportando reports.

Williams appeared in 20 games with the Spurs last season, but hasn't seen any action in the NBA in 2015-16 after being waived by San Antonio following training camp. He'll aim to perform well in Russia in an attempt to earn another opportunity in the NBA.
