  • Nets' Trevon Scott: Logs 26 minutes in finale

Scott ended with eight points (3-8 FG, 2-5 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 26 minutes during Sunday's 136-101 loss to the Raptors.

Scott saw solid run in the season finale with the majority of the roster sitting out. Scott was signed to a hardship deal to close out the regular season and will now become a free agent. He made six appearances and averaged 8.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.3 three-pointers in 30.4 minutes per contest.

  • Nets' Trevon Scott: Gets hardship deal with Brooklyn

The Nets signed Scott to a hardship contract Sunday, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.

Scott's 10-day contract with the Nets expired Saturday, and this recent deal ensures that he will be available for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Raptors. He has started and played 40-plus minutes in each of Brooklyn's last three games, and he should have a heavy workload against Toronto, given the number of injuries that the Nets are dealing with.

  • Trevon Scott: Reaches open market

Scott became a free agent Sunday after his 10-day contract with the Nets expired.

The Nets will have the ability to retain Scott to a rest-of-season deal, so if the team intends to keep him on the roster, expect him to be re-signed prior to Sunday's finale against the Raptors. If available, Scott will likely be in line for extensive playing time while the Nets list nine players out for the finale, another as questionable (Nolan Traore) and another as probable (Ochai Agbaji). Over the course of his 10-day deal, Scott made five appearances (three starts) and averaged 8.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.4 steals, 1.0 blocks and 0.8 three-pointers in 31.4 minutes while shooting 38.1 percent from the field.

  • Nets' Trevon Scott: Another huge workload

Scott registered 11 points (4-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal over 41 minutes during Friday's 125-108 loss to the Bucks.

That's now three consecutive games with at least 40 minutes for Scott. With the Nets hurting for healthy bodies at this stage of a lost season, Scott should handle another huge workload in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Raptors as he rides out his 10-day contract.

  • Nets' Trevon Scott: Starting Tuesday

Scott is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's matchup with the Bucks, C.J. Holmes of the New York Daily News reports.

Scott will be elevated into a starting role in just his third game of the season, and he could see quality minutes with Brooklyn so banged up. Scott produced four points, eight rebounds, three assists, one steal and two blocks over 28 minutes his last time out, so he could be worth a dart throw in daily fantasy leagues.

  • Nets' Trevon Scott: Joins Brooklyn on 10-day deal

Scott agreed Thursday with the Nets on a 10-day hardship contract, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.

The NBA's decision to grant the Nets a hardship exception in order to bring Scott aboard suggests that Danny Wolf (ankle) is unlikely to return to action anytime soon. Scott, 29, has been a key player for Brooklyn's G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets, over the last two seasons. Over his 47 appearances for Long Island in 2025-26, Scott has averaged 12.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.7 three-pointers and 1.1 steals in 28.1 minutes per game. The 6-foot-8, 225-pound forward's last NBA action came back in the 2021-22 season, when he made two appearances for the Cavaliers.
