Koumadje has been named the G League's Defensive Player of the Year, Clevis Murray of The Athletic reports.
Koumadje was a member of the Delaware Blue Coats during the 2019-20 season, which was his rookie year. He led the league in both blocks per game (4.0) and total blocks (133) while also averaging 11.3 points and 10.9 rebounds. In a particularly huge game Feb. 1 against the Bayhawks, he posted a triple-double with 18 points, 20 rebounds and 12 blocks.
