Bane was coming off a 22-point performance against the Knicks on Sunday, but the veteran guard was not as efficient during Wednesday's win. He's connected on at least 39.0 percent of his three-point attempts in each of the two prior seasons, but he's gone 10-for-36 (27.8 percent) from beyond the arc through the first four games of the 2026-27 campaign. Still, Bane is expected to have a larger workload for as long as Paolo Banchero (ankle) is out of action.

Bane bounced back from a scoreless first quarter to lead Orlando in scoring, connecting on four three-pointers while contributing across multiple categories. With Paolo Banchero (ankle) sidelined and Jalen Suggs suffering a right knee injury late in Sunday's contest, Bane could be asked to shoulder an even larger offensive workload in the coming games.

It was a night to forget for Bane, fouling out in 27 minutes, while also shooting a woeful 2-of-11 from the floor. Nothing went right for Bane in this one, and to be fair, he wasn't alone when it came to poor performances. After a slow start to the season, things don't get any easier for Bane. Orlando's next four games are against New York, Toronto and Boston, all of which will be sure to try and limit Bane with tenacious defense.

Bane struggled with his shooting efficiency, particularly from beyond the arc, but salvaged his fantasy performance with three steals and three triples. The veteran guard maintained a significant offensive role alongside Paolo Banchero and should continue receiving ample opportunities to contribute as a scorer and perimeter threat.
Bane recorded eight points (3-12 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 0-1 FT), two rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block over 26 minutes in Tuesday's 132-116 preseason victory over Cleveland.
Bane couldn't establish much rhythm offensively, missing seven of his nine three-point attempts despite Orlando's comfortable win. He still contributed defensively and as a passer, but the cold shooting performance stood in contrast to the efficient nights enjoyed by several of his teammates.

Bane will sit out Orlando's second exhibition game for rest purposes. The 28-year-old swingman's next opportunity to suit up in the preseason will come in Tuesday's rematch against the Cavaliers.

Bane feels confident entering his second year with the Magic, Philip Rossman-Reish of Orlando Magic Daily reports.
Bane navigated an entirely new team and coach a season ago after being traded from Memphis to Orlando in June of 2025. However, that won't be the case entering the 2026-27 campaign. Bane has voiced his confidence in the team and staff around him, and he's also been impressed with one of his new teammates, Nikola Vucevic, stating that Vucevic has a serious approach and makes it clear that he's in Orlando to win, per Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel. Bane averaged 20.1 points while shooting 48.3 percent from the field over 82 regular-season appearances a year ago, and he'll have a good chance to inflict more damage on the offensive end heading into the new season.
