Lakers' Jay Huff: Inks Exhibit 10 with Lakers
Huff and the Lakers agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract Wednesday.
Huff went unselected in the 2021 NBA Draft but ended up seeing significant action in the G League for the South Bay Lakers. In 28 regular-season games (all starts), he averaged 15.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 1.1 assists in 25.9 minutes. He'll join the Lakers for camp but will probably see most of his action in the G League again next season.

Jay Huff: Logs all-around stat line
Huff logged 23 points (11-15 FG, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks during Thursday's 132-120 win over the Salt Lake City Stars.
Huff supplied one of his best all-around G League stat lines this year. He is averaging 14.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.9 blocks across eight games. His two-way prowess compensates for the lack of scoring he gives compared to South Bay's primary backcourt duo -- Mac McClung and Chaundee Brown, players who are both averaging 20-plus points.

Lakers' Jay Huff: Could join Lakers on Friday
Huff may join the Lakers for their matchup against the Cavaliers on Friday.
Huff began the season with the Lakers G League affiliate, but he may get his first elevation of the 2021-22 campaign. The Lakers continue to deal with numerous injuries, but most notably, they have been without LeBron James (ankle) for their past two contests. If James is forced to miss a third straight game, Huff will likely be added to the active roster to serve as a depth option.
