Top Facundo Campazzo News

  • Nuggets' Facundo Campazzo: Suspended for Game 1

Campazzo has been suspended for Saturday's Game 1 against the Warriors for his shove against Wayne Ellington during the final game of the regular season, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Campazzo's absence probably won't affect things for Denver. The point guard hasn't been a consistent part of the rotation since mid-February.

  • Nuggets' Facundo Campazzo: Cleared from injury report

Campazzo (illness) will be available Monday at Charlotte.

Campazzo was battling an illness earlier in the day but has been given the green light to play. He was dropped from the regular rotation after the All-Star break, however, so his return won't have much of an impact.

  • Nuggets' Facundo Campazzo: Out with illness

Campazzo will not play Saturday against the Thunder due to an illness.

Campazzo did not see action in Denver's last two games as a coach's decision, and he'll now be unavailable Saturday. He spent just six minutes on the court over the Nuggets' last eight contests, so his absence will not have a noticeable effect on their rotation.

  • Nuggets' Facundo Campazzo: Iffy for Monday's contest

Campazzo (illness) is questionable for Monday's contest against the Hornets.

Campazzo was sidelined Saturday due to an illness and may be in jeopardy of missing a second consecutive contest due to the aliment. However, the backup guard has played just six minutes over the Nuggets' last nine games, so his potential absence shouldn't impact Denver's rotation.

  • Nuggets' Facundo Campazzo: Plays 20 minutes off bench again

Campazzo had six points (2-8 FG, 2-6 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists and three steals in 23 minutes during Saturday's 110-109 win over the Raptors.

With Monte Morris (concussion) sidelined again, Campazzo played 20-plus minutes for a second straight game. Over his last two contests, the 5-foot-10 point guard has totaled 20 points, seven rebounds, six assists, four steals and one block. As long as Morris remains sidelined, expect Campazzo to continue to garner a sizable role off the bench.

  • Nuggets' Facundo Campazzo: Solid performance off bench

Campazzo ended Friday's 108-102 loss to Boston with 14 points (4-9 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in 29 minutes.

With Monte Morris (concussion) sidelined, Bones Hyland drew the first start of his career. However, Campazzo played more minutes and was more productive than Hyland off the bench. The 5-foot-10 point guard scored in double figures for the first time since Jan. 13 and registered at least one steal and one block in the same game for the 10th time this season. Denver has three games remaining before the All-Star break, but it's unclear if Morris will be able to play in any of those contests. As long as he remains sidelined, Campazzo and Hyland are both candidates for increased roles.

  • Nuggets' Facundo Campazzo: Downward slide continues in loss

Campazzo closed with zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one rebound, four assists and one block across 11 minutes during Tuesday's 130-115 loss to Minnesota.

Campazzo was a non-factor in the loss, struggling to contribute despite the fact the game descended into garbage time quite early. After a brief stint as a streaming option, he has fallen off a cliff of late. Based on what we have seen over the past few weeks, he would need a lot to go his way should he hope to elevate himself in the rotation once again. For now, only those in very deep formats should give him a look.

  • Nuggets' Facundo Campazzo: Poor performance in Sunday's loss

Campazzo ended Sunday's 125-102 loss to the Jazz with two points (1-7 FG, 0-5 3Pt), one rebound and one assist in 19 minutes.

Campazzo reminded us all why he should be viewed as a streaming option at best when it comes to standard fantasy leagues. While he has shown flashes this season, he is simply far too inconsistent to warrant a long-term roster spot. Grab him at a pinch if you need assists and steals but as we saw here, even those numbers aren't always guaranteed.

  • Nuggets' Facundo Campazzo: Joins the fun

Campazzo registered 18 points (7-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 12 assists and four steals over 27 minutes during Thursday's 140-108 win over Portland.

Campazzo played a sizable role in the Nuggets drubbing of Portland, swiping four steals, leading the Denver bench in scoring, and racking up a game-high 12 assists. He entered the contest in a 4-for-22 slump over his previous four games, but will look to maintain this momentum Saturday against the Lakers.

  • Nuggets' Facundo Campazzo: Coming off bench Friday

Campazzo will come off the bench in Friday's game against the Kings, Harrison Wind of reports.

Campazzo started each of the last four games and averaged 10.0 points, 7.0 assists and 3.8 rebounds in 29.8 minutes per contest during that time. However, Monte Morris will draw the start Friday.

  • Nuggets' Facundo Campazzo: Rough night in Wednesday's loss

Campazzo ended Wednesday's 115-109 loss to Utah with five points (2-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt), two rebounds and four assists over 20 minutes.

Campazzo played just 20 minutes, and given Monte Morris outplayed him off the bench, his time as a 12-team fixture could be about to end. As a player who only offers upside in a couple of categories, he could very well remain relevant, depending on which stats a fantasy manager might need. If assists and steals are high on your list of priorities, you should at least keep him on the radar.

  • Nuggets' Facundo Campazzo: Thrives in starting opportunity

Campazzo provided 22 points (7-11 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four rebounds, 12 assists, two blocks and five steals in 34 minutes during Saturday's 124-111 win over the Rockets.

Campazzo started his second straight game with Monte Morris (knee/COVID-19 protocols) unable to play. Whereas Campazzo notched just five points and seven assists in his previous contest, he went off for season highs with points, assists and steals against Houston on Saturday. The 30-year-old isn't likely to have many performances better than this one, but he should be a decent source of assists and steals while filling in for Morris.

  • Nuggets' Facundo Campazzo: Gets first start of season

Campazzo will start Tuesday's matchup against the Warriors, Mike Singer of The Denver Post reports.

Campazzo will get his first start of the season, with Monte Morris (knee) missing his first contest of the year. In the 13 games that he's seen at least 24 minutes this season, Campazzo is averaging 9.8 points, 4.7 assists, 1.9 rebounds and 1.3 steals.

  • Nuggets' Facundo Campazzo: Struggles with shot in loss

Campazzo recorded 12 points (3-12 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds, five assists, one block and three steals over 33 minutes during Thursday's 115-107 loss to the Hornets.

Campazzo has scored in double digits just six times this season, and while he struggled with his shot in this one, he still posted some decent numbers across the board. The Argentinian point guard is averaging just 7.8 points and 5.5 assists per game off the bench across 11 appearances this month.
