Gortman, who is on an Exhibit 10 contract with the Thunder, is considered a long shot to make the final roster. He last featured for the Texas Legends in the G League, where he averaged 20.0 points on 45.0 percent shooting, and he showed Monday that he can certainly score at the NBA level.

This is likely an Exhibit 10 contract for Gortman, allowing the Thunder to secure his G League rights. Gortman last featured for the Texas Legends in the G League, where he averaged 20.0 points on 45.0 percent shooting.

Jazian Gortman: Cut by Dallas
The Mavericks waived Gortman on Sunday.
Gortman had been on a two-way deal with the Mavericks and averaged 1.5 points in 3.6 minutes per game over 16 appearances at the NBA level this season. Dallas cut Gortman to open up a two-way spot for center Kylor Kelley, who will give the team added depth in the frontcourt while Dereck Lively (ankle) and Maxi Kleber (foot) are sidelined with long-term waivers. Assuming he clears waivers, Gortman could stick around in the Dallas organization as a member of the G League's Texas Legends.

Gortman had joined Dallas on an Exhibit 10 deal earlier in the summer, but he'll head up securing one of the Mavericks three two-way spots after the team waived A.J. Lawson on Friday. The 21-year-old impressed in the preseason, during which he averaged 10.3 points while shooting 51.6 percent from the field. The guard is expected to spend the majority of his time with the Mavericks' G League affiliate, the Texas Legends.

Bucks' Jazian Gortman: Gets camp deal from Milwaukee
Gortman agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract with the Bucks on Tuesday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
After Gortman went undrafted in June, multiple reports suggested that the Bucks would bring the Overtime Elite alum aboard via a two-way contract, but the 20-year-old point guard ultimately remained unsigned over the ensuing weeks. He still joined up with the Bucks for the Las Vegas Summer League, appearing in five games while averaging 4.8 points, 1.0 assists and 0.8 rebounds in 9.1 minutes per contest. Gortman will now stick around with the Bucks through training camp, but unless he's converted to a two-way deal shortly before the regular season, he'll likely open the 2023-24 campaign with Milwaukee's G League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd.
