Wheeler was not added to the Magic's training-camp roster.
Wheeler signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Magic on Sept. 5. After not making the team's training-camp roster, he'll likely end up suiting up for the G League's Osceola Magic for the 2025-26 campaign.

Magic's Phillip Wheeler: Lands Exhibit 10 deal with Orlando
Wheeler agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract with the Magic on Friday, NBA reporter Jake Fischer reports.
The deal offers Wheeler an opportunity to battle for a two-way spot with Orlando ahead of training camp this fall. The 23-year-old forward most recently played in the Las Vegas Summer League with the Pacers, averaging 13.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 18.5 minutes per game over five appearances.

Phillip Wheeler: Hits free agency
Wheeler became a free agent Saturday after his 10-day contract with the 76ers expired, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports.
Wheeler averaged 1.6 points and 1.6 rebounds in 8.8 minutes across his five appearances for Philadelphia. Before being signed to a 10-day deal with Philadelphia, Wheeler had been playing for the G League's Maine Celtics, so he could rejoin the club for its postseason run.
