Hyland (hip) isn't listed on the injury report for Saturday's Game 1 against the Nuggets.
Hyland missed Minnesota's last two regular-season games due to a right hip issue, but he's good to go for the start of the playoffs. The 25-year-old guard averaged 14.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.2 steals in 24.4 minutes per contest over five regular-season appearances in April. If Anthony Edwards (knee) is downgraded from questionable to out, Hyland could see a bump in playing time Saturday.

Hyland won't play in the Timberwolves' regular-season finale due to maintenance of a right hip injury, and this will be his second straight absence. Hyland provided 19 points (5-9 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 5-6 FT), four rebounds, seven assists and one steal in 21 minutes during Tuesday's 124-104 victory over the Pacers.
Hyland was sharp with his shot and looked excellent as a playmaker, ending just three assists away from what would've been his first double-double of the season. Hyland has logged over 20 minutes in all but one of his last 11 appearances off the bench and is making the most with that playing time, averaging 15.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.1 steals per game over that stretch.

Hyland recorded at least 20 points for the first time in his past five games, rewarding anyone who took a chance on him. While this was certainly an encouraging performance, managers may want to temper their expectations, given that he had scored a total of 32 points in his previous four outings. At best, he can be streamed in on low-volume nights, at least until Jaden McDaniels returns from his knee injury.

Hyland closed with 18 points (6-7 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds and two assists in 16 minutes during Sunday's 117-108 win over the Nuggets.
After scoring in single digits in five straight outings, Hyland turned in an extremely efficient performance Sunday. The 25-year-old finished as Minnesota's third-leading scorer and paced the second unit in scoring against the Nuggets, who selected Hyland with the 26th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft before trading him to the Clippers in February 2023. While Hyland should continue to see meaningful burn off the bench, he typically doesn't offer much in terms of peripheral numbers and has been an inconsistent scorer of late.

Hyland finished with 20 points (8-12 FG, 4-7 3Pt), seven rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals over 26 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 128-126 victory over the Raptors.
It was Hyland's best scoring effort since Jan. 13, when he dropped a season-high 23 points on the Bucks. However, the fifth-year guard scored in double digits only once during the 10 games in between those ceiling performances, making him little more than a DFS dart throw for fantasy purposes. Over that 12-game stretch, Hyland is averaging 8.3 points, 2.9 assists, 2.5 boards, 1.6 threes and 0.8 steals in 16.6 minutes from the second unit.
