Wizards' AJ Dybantsa: Records team-high four steals
Dybantsa recorded 11 points (5-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-3 FT), two rebounds, two assists and four steals across 23 minutes in Thursday's 111-109 preseason win over the Knicks.
Dybantsa made an impact on the defensive end, leading both teams with four steals while committing no turnovers. The young forward was less effective offensively, missing all three of his attempts from beyond the arc and needing 11 shots just to score 11 points. Mistakes are bound to happen for rookie players, and Dybantsa should continue to see consistent minutes ahead of the regular-season opener against the Bucks on Oct. 21, where he's still expected to be part of the starting unit.

Wizards' AJ Dybantsa: All set for rookie season
Dybantsa (rest) will be competing for a starting role during training camp this fall.
After Dybantsa went first overall in the 2026 NBA Draft, there's a good chance the Wizards will want to showcase him in the first unit immediately. That said, Bilal Coulibaly was a full-time starter a year ago, and Washington also has incumbent veteran Khris Middleton on the roster. Regardless, Dybantsa finds himself in a rather favorable situation playing alongside veteran stars Trae Young (quad) and Anthony Davis (finger).

Wizards' AJ Dybantsa: Won't play again this summer
The Wizards are shutting down Dybantsa (rest) for the team's final three Summer League games, per Josh Robbins of The Athletic.
Dybantsa was able to make a pair of Las Vegas Summer League appearances before being shut down. The 2026 No. 1 overall pick will now set his sights toward training camp in the fall ahead of his highly anticipated rookie campaign in 2026-27.

Wizards' AJ Dybantsa: Full stat line in SL win
Dybantsa supplied 23 points (6-15 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 5-6 FT), seven rebounds, three steals, two assists and two blocks across 24 minutes in Sunday's 104-85 Summer League win over the Kings.
Dybantsa struggled mightily from three-point range in his second Summer League appearance, though he still finished as Washington's second-leading scorer. The rookie forward provided a well-rounded line Sunday, adding a team-high seven rebounds while tying the game-high mark in steals. He was one of just two players to record at least five combined steals-plus-blocks. Dybantsa has recorded at least 23 points, seven rebounds and two steals in both of his outings in Las Vegas, though he's shot just 1-for-11 from deep.

Bulls' Jaylin Sellers: Nets 15 points with four dimes
Sellers tallied 15 points (4-13 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-6 FT), four rebounds, four assists and one steal across 29 minutes during Friday's 97-96 Las Vegas Summer League defeat to the Grizzlies.
Sellers was Chicago's second-leading scorer and finished with a plus-5 differential in the narrow defeat. He's on a two-way deal with the Bulls this season, so he'll spend most of the year in the G League.

Wizards' AJ Dybantsa: Scores 27 in Summer League debut
Dybantsa supplied 27 points (7-18 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 7-8 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block across 26 minutes in Thursday's 92-88 Summer League win over the Jazz.
Dybantsa struggled from three-point range but was highly productive otherwise. The 19-year-old forward got to the charity stripe often and erupted for a game-high 27 points while pacing the Wizards in rebounds. He was also solid on the defensive end, finishing as one of two Wizards players to record at least three combined steals-plus-blocks.
