Hart was a bright spot for the Knicks in a close contest that saw this series get tied up. Through the opening pair of postseason games, Hart has been terrific with 13.0 points, 13.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.0 steals in 36.0 minutes per contest.

Brunson led the Knicks in scoring, but despite a balanced attack from all five starters, the team got a total of 20 points from their second unit. Through two playoff games, Brunson is shooting 39.6 percent from the field with 28.5 points, 7.0 assists and 3.5 rebounds.
Knicks' Miles McBride: Fails to score in loss Monday

McBride had very little impact, failing to score in just 13 minutes. Outside of a 21-point performance in a win over Charlotte earlier in the month, McBride has basically been a non-factor. In eight appearances over the past month, he has averaged just 5.8 points and 1.5 three-pointers in 16.7 minutes per game.

Knicks' Mikal Bridges: Quiet again in Game 2 loss

Bridges ended Monday's 107-106 loss to Atlanta in Game 2 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs with 10 points (3-10 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, two assists and one steal over 37 minutes.
Bridges continues to look like a shell of his former self, struggling to have a tangible impact on either end of the floor. In 13 appearances over the past month, he has averaged just 12.2 points, 0.9 steals and 1.6 three-pointers in 30.0 minutes per game. With the series now tied at 1-1, New York will have to wrestle back the advantage, starting with a road game in Atlanta on Thursday.
Anunoby (ankle) is available for Monday's Game 2 of the Eastern Conference first-round series against the Hawks, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
As expected, Anunoby will shed his probable tag due to a left ankle sprain and suit up as the Knicks look to take a 2-0 series lead. In Game 1 on Saturday, the forward totaled 18 points (6-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds and one steal across 38 minutes and shouldn't face any minutes restriction Monday.

Anunoby is officially on the injury report with a left ankle sprain, though the designation is likely a carryover from the injury that cost him the regular-season finale. Despite the "probable" tag, there shouldn't be much concern regarding his availability for Game 2 after he logged 38 minutes and looked plenty mobile in Saturday's series opener. The 28-year-old forward was highly effective in that win, providing 18 points and eight rebounds while playing his signature elite defense. Barring an unexpected setback, Anunoby should be back in his usual starting role as the Knicks look to take a 2-0 series lead.

Anunoby didn't have an eye-popping stat line for Saturday's win, but he was effective on the defensive boards and was efficient with the few shots he took to finish as the Knicks' third-leading scorer behind Jalen Brunson (28 points) and Karl-Anthony Towns (25 points). Anunoby may be known more for his defensive prowess, so it's an added bonus for the Knicks when he can produce on the offensive side of the floor and take some pressure of the shoulders of Brunson and Towns.

Towns accumulated 25 points (6-13 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 10-10 FT), eight rebounds, four assists, three blocks and one steal over 33 minutes during Saturday's 113-102 win over the Hawks in Game 1 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Towns was held scoreless in the first quarter but came alive in the second half with 19 points, 11 of which came in the fourth frame. Much of that scoring production came courtesy of the free-throw line, though he was also efficient from three-point range on limited attempts, and he finished as the Knicks' second-leading scorer behind Jalen Brunson (28 points). Towns' shooting splits noticeably dipped this season compared to 2024-25, but the veteran big man still has the capability of having a big performance on any given night, which will be crucial for New York's postseason run.
