Giants starting free safety Stevie Brown, who led the team with eight interceptions last year, tore his ACL returning an interception in Saturday's preseason game against the Jets, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter. It's a devastating blow for the Giants, who likely will start Ryan Mundy in Brown's place.
Strong safety Antrel Rolle (ankle) did not play Saturday but is expected back for the season opener.
