Chubb (knee) reached an injury settlement with the Panthers on Friday and was waived from injured reserve, according to the NFL's official transaction log.
Chubb suffered the knee injury prior to camp and opened on the PUP list. He is now free to seek a deal with another team.

Chubb (knee) reverted to the Panthers' injured reserve Friday per the NFL communication's official transaction log.
Chubb went unclaimed by the rest of the league after getting waived/injured Thursday, so he lands on the Panthers' IR as a result. He will remain there for the rest of the season unless he and the team reach an injury settlement.

Chubb (knee) was waived/injured by the Panthers on Thursday, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
Chubb had already opened up camp on the PUP list, and now it appears the knee injury he suffered is a serious one. As a result, Chubb will revert to the Panthers' injured reserve once he clears waivers.

Panthers' Brandon Chubb: Starting camp on PUP list
The Panthers placed Chubb on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list Wednesday, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
It is unclear when Chubb suffered the knee injury, but it is serious enough to keep him sidelined to kick off camp. The second-year linebacker likely will need his health to improve sooner rather than later, as he will need to make an impression at camp if he hopes to earn a spot on the team's final 53-man roster.
