Giants' Canaan Severin: Cut by Giants
Severin was waived by the Giants on Monday.
The Virginia product made a slight impact in the preseason last year and finished 2017 on the Giants' practice squad. However, with rookie camp approaching, the organization waived Severin and four other players to clear room on the 90-man roster. Severin will now look to latch on with another club once training camp approaches this summer.

Canaan Severin: Signs reserve/future contract with Giants
The Giants signed Severin to a reserve/future contract Monday, Jordan Raanan of ESPN reports.
Severin originally signed with the Giants in training camp but didn't survive final roster cuts ahead of the season opener. However, he returned to the team in December by way of signing with the Giants' practice squad and will now again aim to carve out a depth role at receiver this offseason.

The Giants signed Severin to their practice squad Wednesday, Michael Eisen of the Giants' official site reports.
Severin previously attended training camp with the Giants, only to be cut loose in early September. The 6-foot-2 wideout caught four passes for 43 yards during the preseason.
