Boulware signed with the 49ers' practice squad Tuesday.
Boulware is a physical linebacker with the ability to play in a nickel package, but he lacks the quick reaction time necessary to make it in the NFL. He'll work with the practice squad this season with hopes of earning himself a special teams role in the future.
