  • Browns' Kareem Hunt: Good to go against Ravens

Hunt (ribs/groin) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Ravens, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.

Hunt missed Wednesday's practice, but limited participation in sessions Thursday and Friday was enough for the running back to get the green light for Sunday. With Jerome Ford (shoulder) also healthy heading into the Week 4 game, Hunt will likely remain relegated to splitting change-of-pace duties with Pierre Strong. Hunt is set to make his second appearance of the season for the Browns after playing 14 snaps last week against the Titans in his 2023 debut following Nick Chubb's season-ending knee injury.

  • Browns' Kareem Hunt: Upgraded to limited Thursday

Hunt (ribs/groin) returned to a limited practice Thursday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Hunt was listed as DNP Wednesday following his season debut in Week 3, but coach Kevin Stefanski has already stated he believes Hunt will play Sunday against the Ravens. The veteran back rushed five times for 13 yards and caught two of three targets for 22 yards versus Tennessee last week.

  • Browns' Kareem Hunt: Expected to face Ravens

Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said he expects Hunt (ribs/groin) -- who didn't practice Wednesday -- to play Sunday against the Ravens, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

Hunt emerged from his season debut in the Browns' Week 3 win over the Titans with a pair of injuries, but he looks like he'll be available this weekend against Baltimore, barring any setbacks. If Hunt is able to practice in any capacity Thursday and/or Friday, it would support Stefanski's assertion that the running back will be ready to go for Sunday.

  • Browns' Kareem Hunt: Won't practice Wednesday

Hunt won't practice Wednesday due to rib and groin injuries, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

In his season debut this past Sunday against the Titans, Hunt was on the field for 14 snaps on offense, finishing the day with five carries for 13 yards and two receptions for 22 yards. With an absence at practice on tap Wednesday, Hunt's status in now worth tracking as this weekend's game against the Ravens approaches. If he's able to suit up Sunday, Hunt would be in line to continue to work in a complementary role in Cleveland's backfield behind Jerome Ford.

  • Browns' Kareem Hunt: Limited to seven touches

Hunt rushed the ball five times for 13 yards in Sunday's 27-3 win over the Titans. He added two receptions for 22 yards.

Hunt finished second on the team in touches behind Jerome Ford, who had 10 rushing attempts and two receptions. Hunt immediately entered the game on the team's first drive and continued to mix in periodically throughout the rest of the contest. Ultimately, he didn't add much to the backfield that wasn't already provided by Ford, so it remains to be seen if Hunt's role continues to grow.

  • Browns' Kareem Hunt: Will play Sunday

Coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed Friday that Hunt will play in Sunday's Week 3 game against the Titans, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Hunt was just re-signed Wednesday and spent all offseason away from NFL camps, but the Browns evidently like the kind of shape he's in and plan to give him some snaps behind Jerome Ford. Reportedly playing 10 pounds lighter than he did in 2022, Hunt will start out competing with Pierre Strong as Ford's change of pace in the wake of Nick Chubb's season-ending knee injury suffered in Week 2. Hunt is worth a speculative add in fantasy leagues.
