The Panthers signed Hearn from their practice squad Thursday, Max Henson of the Panthers' official site reports.
Hearn's spot on the 53-man roster comes following the placement of fellow undrafted rookie guard Brendan Mahon (concussion) on injured reserve. It's likely that Hearn will see the majority of his snaps on special teams going forward.
