Jake Gervase: Not tendered by Rams
The Rams did not extend Gervase (ankle) a qualifying offer or tender, making him an unrestricted free agent this offseason, per the NFL's communication site.
Gervase appeared in 14 games during the 2022 season, but the linebacker only saw playing time as a special teams contributor. In 300 special teams snaps, the 27-year-old recorded just six tackles (five solo). As an unrestricted free agent, Gervase can now negotiate with other teams and sign elsewhere this offseason.

Rams' Jake Gervase: Hitting injured reserve
The Rams placed Gervase (ankle) on injured reserve Saturday, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.
Gervase left the Rams' Week 15 loss at Green Bay in the second half due to an ankle injury, which didn't allow him to practice Wednesday through Friday and resulted in the team ruling him out for Sunday's game against the Broncos. With the move to IR, his season now is over with the Rams out of playoff contention, meaning he'll end his fourth pro campaign with six tackles in 14 appearances.

Rams' Jake Gervase: Won't face Broncos
Gervase (ankle) was ruled out Friday for Sunday's game against the Broncos, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Gervase suffered the injury in Monday's loss to the Packers. He was unable to practice in any capacity throughout the week, so it's unclear when he may be able to return to the field. Ernest Jones should see an uptick in snaps with Gervase sidelined.

Jake Gervase: Activated from COVID-19 list
Gervase (undisclosed) was activated from the COVID-19 list and was restored to the Rams' practice squad Thursday, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.
Gervase was one of a number of Rams placed on the COVID-19 list prior to Tuesday's matchup against the Seahawks. However, he's now set to return from protocols for the second time this season. Gervase has spent the majority of his season on the practice squad but was promoted to the active roster in Week 10 and played exclusively on special teams.
