Dalton Schoen: Cut loose by Kansas City
Schoen was cut from the Chiefs' practice squad Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
Schoen was signed ahead of the Chiefs' Week 16 matchup against Pittsburgh, but he remained on the practice squad. He spent all of training camp in Kansas City prior to being cut and landing with Washington's practice squad to begin the season. Schoen will now look for his next opportunity in the league.

Dalton Schoen: Joins Kansas City
The Chiefs signed Schoen to their practice squad Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
Schoen was released from Washington's practice squad at the end of September. The wide receiver will join a Chiefs team that is stacked with depth at receiver. Expect Schoen to stay on their practice squad barring any significant injuries to the Chiefs' starting receivers.

Schoen was signed by the Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2020. The 24-year-old wideout has spent time with Chargers, Chiefs and Washington's practice squads during the beginning of his NFL career. He caught 37 passes for 579 yards and four touchdowns during his final collegiate season at Kansas State.

Schoen inked a reserve/future deal with the Chiefs back in February but he wasn't able to secure a spot on the regular-season roster. The former Kansas State standout will search for an opportunity elsewhere.

Schoen didn't have much college production, so it's unsurprising he didn't secure a role with the Chargers. However, the 6-foot-1, 209-pound receiver could carve out a practice-squad role.
