Sexton signed with the Falcons' practice squad Wednesday, Scott Bair of the Falcons' official site reports.
Sexton was waived by the Falcons on Tuesday but is back with the organization's practice squad a day later after clearing waivers. He'll be in the mix to join the 53-man roster if the Falcons need additional depth at wide receiver.

Falcons' Mathew Sexton: Inks deal with Falcons
Sexton has signed a contract with the Falcons, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Sexton worked out with Atlanta on Monday and apparently showed enough to get an opportunity with the team. He is coming off a stint in the XFL with the Vegas Vipers, where he accumulated 364 yards on 23 receptions across 10 games. The 26-year-old will now compete for a depth wide receiver role in Atlanta in what is already a crowded room.

Mathew Sexton: Works out for Atlanta
The Falcons hosted Sexton for a workout Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Sexton appears to be healthy again despite having been waived from Kansas City's injured reserve with an undisclosed injury earlier this month. The 25-year-old has yet to appear in a regular-season game but will look to change that in 2023, whether it be with Atlanta or another team.

Sexton was waived with an injury designation by Kansas City on Thursday and will not count against the team's 90-man roster while on the offseason IR. The 5-foot-11 wideout was waived by the Steelers ahead of the 2021 season and has yet to make his NFL debut.

Sexton (undisclosed) was waived with an injury designation by the Chiefs on Thursday, Charles Goldman of USA Today reports.
The 24-year-old wideout was waived alongside cornerback Luq Barcoo to make room on the Chiefs' 90-man offseason roster for wide receiver Aaron Parker and cornerback Chris Lammons, both of whom were signed in corresponding moves Thursday. Sexton signed a reserve/future contract with Kansas City in January, but he has yet to make his NFL debut. The undrafted free agent out of Eastern Michigan will revert to the Chiefs' injured reserve list, should he go unclaimed on waivers.

The Steelers waived Sexton on Saturday.
Sexton -- along with fellow wideout Anthony Johnson -- was among nine players let go by the Steelers on Saturday as they make moves to get down to the mandatory 53-man roster by Tuesday. The 2020 undrafted free agent out of Eastern Michigan reportedly has run a 4.3 40-yard dash and could make an intriguing option for a team in need of speed on the outside.
