Kendal Thompson: Waived off injured reserve
Thompson (undisclosed) was waived off injured reserve by the Rams on Tuesday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
Thompson was waived/injured at roster cutdowns at the start of September, and reverted to injured reserve after clearing waivers. It remains unclear what injury the 26-year-old is dealing with, but he's now clear to sign elsewhere when healthy.

Rams' Kendal Thompson: Signed by Rams
Thompson (leg) signed a contract with the Rams on Monday, ESPN's Lindsey Thiry reports.
Thompson has yet to play a regular-season snap in the NFL, having most recently been waived by the Redskins in August of 2017 prior to this signing in Los Angeles. He'll face an uphill battle in terms of attempting to secure a roster spot, with the top of the Rams' depth chart at wide receiver filled by Brandin Cooks, Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp.

Thompson (leg) reverted to the Redskins' injured reserve Monday after clearing waivers, Stephen Czarda of Redskins.com reports.
Thompson was among a large group of receivers competing for a depth role on the club, so his odds for landing on the final roster were long. Unless he and the team reach an injury settlement, the 25-year-old will remain on IR until the end of the season.

Thompson failed to participate in any offseason team activities due to the undisclosed leg injury and will now miss the beginning of training camp as well. While he's still able to attend team meetings and receive treatment, the 25-year-old will have to receive clearance before he can practice with the team again. Thompson, who missed Wednesday's OTA, hopes to be back for the start of training camp according to Redskins coach Jay Gruden. Buried on the depth chart at wide receiver, Thompson will be a long shot to make the team's final roster, regardless of his health.
