Bryant (ankle) isn't participating in Thursday's practice, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports.
Though Bryant looks poised to avoid a stint on injured reserve after an MRI on the right ankle he injured in Sunday's loss to the 49ers ruled out a long-term injury, the second-year wideout still appears likely to miss some time. He's been a spectator for the Broncos' first two practices of Week 5 and will likely be officially ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chargers following Friday's session.

Broncos' Pat Bryant: Opens Week 5 prep with DNP
Bryant (ankle) did not participate in Wednesday's practice, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Bryant sprained his right ankle during the Broncos' Week 4 loss to the 49ers. An MRI did not reveal a high-ankle sprain, which is good news for the second-year wide receiver. Bryant is still expected to miss time, so he can be considered on the doubtful side for Sunday's AFC West showdown against the Chargers. He has a 9-133-1 receiving line (12 targets) through four games, and assuming Bryant is sidelined for Week 5, that workload will be absorbed by Jaylen Waddle, Courtland Sutton, Marvin Mims and Troy Franklin.

The Broncos are confident that Bryant avoided a long-term right ankle injury after an MRI on Monday yielded good news, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The report doesn't offer any specifics regarding what the MRI revealed, but Bryant may have avoided a dreaded high-ankle sprain after exiting Sunday's 24-14 loss to the 49ers. Bryant still appears likely to miss time due to the injury, with Adam Schefter of ESPN relaying Monday that the second-year wideout is expected to be sidelined for "a few weeks." Assuming Bryant is out for at least this Sunday's game against the Chargers, the Broncos would have more reps available for Marvin Mims and Troy Franklin behind starting receivers Jaylen Waddle and Courtland Sutton.

Bryant is expected to miss "a few weeks" after spraining his right ankle in Sunday's 24-14 loss to the 49ers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Bryant finished with three receptions for 47 yards on three targets before he checked out of the game after he appeared to injure the ankle when he was tackled at the end of his final catch of the day with just under three minutes left in the third quarter. The second-year wideout's expected absence should open up more playing time for Marvin Mims and/or Troy Franklin as the Broncos' No. 3 receiver behind Jaylen Waddle and Courtland Sutton.

Bryant was injured at the tail end of a catch in the second half and had to be carted to the locker room. That he's being considered questionable to return may suggest it's not a serious injury for Bryant. Prior to leaving, he caught all three of his targets for 47 yards. Broncos' Pat Bryant: Carted off Sunday
Bryant (leg) was carted off the field in the third quarter of Sunday's contest against the 49ers, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Bryant suffered a right leg injury after a catch and run of 30 yards with 2:47 left in the third quarter. The wide receiver's day is almost certainly done, and it's possible that he will be forced to miss action moving forward. More information on his status will likely be provided in the near future, and in the meantime, Jaylen Waddle and Courtland Sutton will continue to operate as the top two wideouts for Denver.

Broncos' Pat Bryant: Finds paydirt in Week 3 win
Bryant recorded two receptions for 44 yards and a touchdown on two targets in Sunday's 30-26 win over the Rams. He also scored on a two-point conversion.
Bryant reached the end zone for the first time this season with 7:44 left in the third quarter, connecting with quarterback Bo Nix on a five-yard catch. The second-year wideout has seen his snap share gradually climb through the first three weeks, topping out at 70 percent in Week 3. Bryant failed to catch his only target while adding a 16-yard rush during Sunday's 20-13 win over the Jaguars.
Bryant was unable to leave his mark on the contest, but his 41 offensive snaps ranked second only to Courtland Sutton (45) at wide receiver, out-snapping Jaylen Waddle (38) and more importantly Troy Franklin (13) with Marvin Mims (foot) sidelined. Bryant's playing time hasn't directly correlated to major production through two weeks, but he has separated himself as the team's No. 3 option at wide receiver.
